If you saw me accidentally hit enter early no you didn't ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyways, it's build time! We've added a bunch of colorless cards and reworked/renamed multiple Pael options! Ok patch notes time.

CONTENT:

Colorless Cards:

  • Added the following new colorless cards:
- Beat Down

- Contractility

- Fasten

- Omnislice

- Production

- Restlessness

- Ultimate Strike

Ancients:

  • Added Smother card - Deal 10 damage. Whenever you rest, Upgrade this card. Can be upgraded any number of times. (damage scales like searing blow, +3, +4, +5, etc)
  • Reworked Paelโ€™s Essence relic -> Slumbering Essence: โ€œAt the end of your turn, if the enchanted card is still in your hand, reduce its cost by 1 until it is played.โ€
  • Reworked Paelโ€™s Eye relic -> Gloopy Eye: โ€œThe first time each combat you end your turn without playing cards, Exhaust your hand, and take an extra turn.โ€
  • Reworked Paelโ€™s Claw -> Cloudy Claw: โ€œCreate a new map with double the number of Rest Sites.โ€
  • Reworked Patience card: โ€œInnate. Ethereal. At the end of combat, gain a random relic instead of a Card Reward.โ€
BALANCE:

Silent:

  • Buffed Envenom card: now costs 1 by default and deals 1 additional poison on upgrade

Potions & Relics:

  • Reworked Royal Stamp: can only be applied to Skills and Attacks

Enemies:

  • Nerfed Chomper:
- HP decreased from 83-88 -> 64-68

- Damage decreased from 10x2 -> 8x2

  • Completely reworked Slimed Berserker combat
  • Changed Toxic Goop Bowlbug: can no longer spawn with the Slumbering Beetle
ART & MUSIC:
  • Updated art for Aroma of Chaos, Bugslayer, and Infested Automaton events
  • Added alternate Act 3 music track
  • Added smithing VFX
  • Smithing VFX plays when you forge sovereign blade
  • Added VFX for obtaining potions
USER INTERFACE & EXPERIENCE:
  • Added a fade out to menu music
  • Added SFX for the rest site, obtaining relics, card exhaust, reward screen popup, and combat start
  • Stopped card reject SFX from proccing when a card is played
  • It is now required to still select a card when smithing/removing even if you only have 1 valid card
  • Saves that are unable to load are renamed as broken instead of deleted, which will help us debug save format issues
  • Auto-placed enemies should avoid getting placed in the play zone
  • Compendium cards now animate in and out
  • Compendium screen now scales with ultrawide
  • Power cards now swoosh when played
  • Volume sliders now look better and smoothly animate
  • Added Ancient icons to run history
  • Adjusted hitboxes, scale, intent position, and VFX spawn position for ALL creatures A - N
  • Adjusted hitboxes, intent position, VFX position, and scale for creatures O - Z
  • Adjusted outlines, shadows, and font sizing rules for topbar text and gold gain VFX
  • AOE description when there is a single enemy show powered description (for things like vulnerable)
  • Current Run info now appears when hovering over the Continue button in main menu + removed various debug assets
  • Disabled potion usage during enemy turn
  • Extra dynamic text on cards (i.e finished) now remains on card when being played
  • Flechettes now has extra text that tells you how many times it will hit
  • Hovering over enchantment preview cards no longer enlarges them
  • Hovertips now sit close to the button its hovering over
  • Merchant room background now respects the screen aspect ratio
  • Negative Dexterity now appears in red text in the power VFX
  • Overhauled display settings, save window and screen positions; fullscreen is now a toggle
  • Peek button now pulses when you are in peek mode
  • Reduced option label font size from 28 -> 24 + they are now all consistent and nested under vbox containers
  • Label changed from Resolution -> Windowed resolution
  • Run history now groups cards with the same enchantments
  • Added some logic to lock Necrobinder and Defect for now
  • Updated datetime formatting for Continue Run info pane
  • Updated Game Over screen banner, Proceed button position and prefab, and removed debug death screen asset
WORDING:
  • Added clarification for when energy is received in Radiant Tincture's wording
  • Added clarification for Exoskeleton: the roach does not die (does not trigger Gremlin Horn)
  • Extra period removed from Room Full of Cheese event description
  • Wellspring event lore text now refers to the correct color of the water
  • There is no longer a space before the period in Corpse Explosion power's hovertip
  • Well Laid Plans cardโ€™s description is now correctly pluralized
BUG FIXES:

Defect:

  • Fixed various bugs with Echo Form duplicating the wrong card

Necrobinder:

  • Chain Mail Pants card now applies Plating to Osty, not Necrobinder
  • Osty now loses HP first at Slippery Bridge event

Potions & Relics:

  • Amethyst Bangle relic now correctly gives colorless cards
  • Joss Paper relic now shows correct count
  • Gremlin Horn is now correctly triggered when Phrog Parasite is killed

Enemies:

  • Enemies are now anchored to the center of the screen regardless of aspect ratio

Events:

  • Medley option in Hungry for Mushrooms now correctly specifies Injury and not Writhe

Misc:

  • Cards that are queued for selection (i.e. Prepared+) can now be clicked to deselect them
  • Can no longer deselect creature for AOE card if you hover over it fast enough
  • Nimble may now correctly be applied to Manifest Authority
  • Rigid can only be applied to Skills and Attacks
  • Corruption enchantment now properly previews damage modifications
  • Fixed GetTopOfHitbox not returning top of hitbox
  • Fixed unticking fullscreen not properly going into Windows mode, cleaned up display mode logic, and created hotkey for fullscreen enter/exit
  • Removed Half Baked from the enchantment pool
  • Right click card cancel now properly hides creature reticle
  • Merchant shopโ€™s colored cards now have guaranteed types rather than rarities
  • The floor in Act 3 should now obey screenshake
