It's the last weekly patch before Slay the Spire 2's Early Access launch!! Thank you to all of our playtesters who have helped get us to this point. Your feedback has been invaluable! These notes are mostly some slight balance adjustments, bug fixes, and visual polish. We're almost to the next stage of StS2's evolution!!
CONTENT
- Achievements have been temporarily disabled for Early Access
BALANCE
Necrobinder
- Nerfed Flatten card: damage decreased from 14(18) -> 12(16)
Potions & Relics
- Changed Paper Krane and Tingsha relics: rarities swapped
- Changed Razor Tooth relic: now only upgrades Attacks and Skills
Enemies
- Buffed Seapunk:
- Strength gain now scales with Ascension from 1(1) -> 1(2)
- Nerfed Test Subject: Phase 3 Lacerate damage decreased from 11(12) -> 10(11)
- Changed Thieving Hopper: is now pickier about the cards he steals
- He will try NOT to steal any cards with the Imbued enchantment unless he has no other choices
- His card rarity priority order is as follows:
- Priority 1: Uncommon cards
- Priority 2: Common, Rare, or Event cards
- Priority 3: Basic or Quest cards
- Priority 4: Ancient cards or cards with the Imbued enchantment
- Priority 5: Anything else (in practice, this should only ever be Curses)
Enemies
- Changed Tinker Time event: now randomly offers 2 out of the possible 3 options for card type and effect
ART
- Added portrait art for Neow's Fury and Wish cards
- Added new Nibbit Hiss animation
- Added Living Shield attack animation
- Added Shiv throw animation
- Added Wormy Impact VFX
- Added Gaseous Screen VFX
- Improved the resolution of the characters in the shop
- Added Main Menu art for Bestiary, Relic Collection, Potion Lab, Join, Host, Load from save, and Abandon Run
USER INTERFACE & EXPERIENCE
General:
- Hovertips are now blocked while you are in targeting mode
- Players can now close combat hotkeys with the same hotkey they opened them with
- Prevented other hovertips from popping up while the potion selection hovertip is open
Multiplayer:
- Ascension icon fire is now blue in multiplayer
- Corrected remote mouse focus when remote player is using controller
AUDIO
- Added Sewer Clam SFX
- Updated Main Menu background music to fade out in Timeline
- Updated Orb SFX
WRITING
- Added more translations for various languages
BUG FIXES
General
- Fixed aspect ratio dropdown menu
- Exiting/re-entering Custom Run screen with a seed now correctly uses the seed
- Feedback screen now changes text when language is changed
- Fixed 16:10 aspect ratio messing up settings alignment
- Fixed mouse jumping to wrong position during screen transitions in windowed mode
- Fixed being able to start card targeting via numpad after combat ends
- Fixed Timeline scroll still dragging after player would unlock an Epoch
- If players go back to an event room after they already hit Proceed, the Proceed button is no longer disabled
Necrobinder
- Fixed an issue where Melancholy card's cost reduction would persist between combats if the reduction was due to Osty dying
Enemies
- Fixed an issue where Skulking Colony encounter was appearing in the Run History as Mad Crab
- Killing Doormaker with the
kill allconsole command no longer causes a softlock - Killing the last non-minion enemy with Thorns while it's attacking and summoning a minion in the same move (such as Fabricator) now properly ends combat
Ancients
- Fixed some Yummy Cookie relic display bugs
Events
- Fixed Crystal Sphere event card reward icons not showing the correct card rarity icon in the rewards screen
Multiplayer
- Extra votes are no longer displayed when players are dead
- Fixed orange color getting stuck in multiplayer HP bars
- Hands in multiplayer treasure screen now correctly point at relics
