Greetings, playtesters! This week's patch brings various balance changes and reworks--including a total rework of Ascension 10--along with a few new relics and combat encounters. You'll also notice that quite a few enemies may have some snazzy new sounds or visual effects. Time to dig in...

BALANCE
General:
- Changed Ascension 2 - Weary Traveler: now also affects your starting HP
Ironclad:
- Changed The Ironclad Epoch: unlocked card changed from Grapple -> Dominate
Defect:
- Changed Spinner card:
- No longer requires an empty Orb slot
- "At the start of your turn, Channel 1 Glass."
Necrobinder:
- Buffed Countdown card:
- Doom increased from 11(14) -> 13(17)
- Now triggers at the start of the turn
- Changed Flatten card:
- Energy cost decreased from 2 -> 1
- Damage decreased from 15(25)->10(10)
- Rarity decreased from Uncommon -> Common
- Changed Rattle card: rarity increased from Common -> Uncommon
- Changed Soul Storm card: now adds Souls to your Draw Pile instead of your Hand
Regent:
- Buffed Comet card: Star cost decreased from 6 -> 5
- Nerfed Decisions, Decisions card: Star cost increased from 5 -> 6
- Changed Genesis card:
- Energy cost increased from 1 -> 2
- Rarity increased from Uncommon -> Rare
- Star gain from increased 1 -> 2(3)
- Upgrade no longer grants Innate
- Nerfed Resonance card: cost increased from 1 Energy -> 1 Energy + 2 Stars
- Changed Spectrum Shift card: rarity decreased from Rare -> Uncommon
- Buffed Void Form card now makes cards "free to play" instead of lowering [E] cost to 0 (i.e. Star costs also get reduced)
Colorless Cards:
- Changed Eternal Armor card: rarity increased from Uncommon -> Rare
Potions & Relics:
- Changed Common relic rarity roll from 48% -> 50%
- Changed Intimidating Helmet relic: rarity increased from Uncommon -> Rare
- Changed Kusarigama relic: rarity increased from Common -> Uncommon
- Changed Mercury Hourglass relic: rarity decreased from Uncommon -> Common
- Changed Reptile Trinket relic: rarity increased from Common -> Uncommon
Enemies:
- Nerfed Bygone Effigy: no longer gains Strength when attacking
- Nerfed Doormaker: Door now gives Dazed statuses instead of Void
- Changed Frog Knight:
- Strike Down Evil move damage changed from 10(12)x2 -> 21(23)
- Tongue Lash move no longer gives Dazed statuses, now -> applies 2 Frail
- Nerfed Guardbot: Block decreased from 20 -> 15
- Nered Stabbot:
- Damage decreased from 14(15) -> 11(12)
- Debuff applied changed from Weak -> Frail
Ancients:
- Changed Defect's Claw Neow Bundle: now contains 3 Claw cards
- Changed Necrobinder's Flatten Neow Bundle: Afterlife card replaced with -> Rattle
- Buffed Orobas' Necrobinder Transcendence blessing: Phylactery Unbound also Summons 5 at the start of each combat
ART
- Added new Shout and Spooky Shout VFX
AUDIO
- Added SFX for the following enemies:
- Slithering Strangler
- Living Fog
- Punch Construct
- Phantasmal Gardener
- Cultists
- Waterfall Giant
- Added background music for Waterfall Giant
USER EXPERIENCE & INTERFACE
- Added Rest Site FTUE
- Added temp SFX & VFX to Doll Room, Dense Vegetation and Jungle Maze Adventure events
- Ancient names now persist on screen
- Card types are no longer gilded in event, potion, and relic descriptions (similar to how cards display them)
- Pressing the Peek button now shrinks the currently-playing card and moves it above the Peek button instead of moving it to the top-right of the screen
- When pressing the Peek button on a card selection screen, the currently-being-played card now shrinks in addition to moving to the top-right of the screen
Multiplayer:
- Added a poor network indicator when a poor network connection is detected
- Network problem overlay is now shown when client hasn't heard from host in a long time
WRITING
- Added missing periods to the end of a few encounter death quotes
- Mango??? relic now has the correct title
BUG FIXES
General:
- Fixed Steam cloud sync softlocking in rare circumstances
- Cards with built-in energy cost reduction effects (ex. Ambush, Banshee's Cry, Force Field) no longer double their reduction when cloned
- Fixed an issue where damage values on multi-target cards (ex. Echoing Slash) would stop previewing modifications from relics (ex. Pen Nib) when you dragged the card up out of your had to prepare to play it
- Fixed Continue panel not being sized correctly
- Peek button now only plays buzzer when trying to play cards
- Statistics screen now has the correct value for the total number of Epochs
- The "damage fully blocked" VFX no longer plays when HP loss is fully prevented (by an effect like Tungsten Rod) while you have Block
- The
relicdev console command no longer returns the fake version of a relic when the real version's ID is entered - The player's energy counter now properly flashes if they spend and gain the same amount of energy while playing a card
Potions & Relics:
- Astrolabe relic now displays the transformed cards in a grid instead of randomly scattered
- Fixed an issue where certain relics that trigger when a card is added to your deck (ex. Darkstone Periapt, Lucky Fysh, and Fable) weren't triggering when a card in your deck was transformed
- Fixed Potion of Sadness liquid VFX rendering too large and playing on player instead of monster
- Magic Pot relic no longer lets you select unupgradable cards
- Orichalcum and Orichalcum??? relics now stack properly
- Screamer Pod throw VFX now is no longer thrown at player
Enemies:
- Fixed Fat Gremlin run animation when game is in Fast Mode
- Fixed issue with The Insatiable sometimes not playing its roar animation
- Fixed Make It So VFX causing weird visuals in the Decimillipede fight
Ancients:
- Pael's Goopy enchantment now states that it applies Exhaust
Events:
- Can no longer click on invisible corner cells in Crystal Sphere event minigame
Multiplayer:
- Fixed potion throw VFX positioning for self-targeting potions in multiplayer
- Fixed map drawing issues when drawing really fast
- Hardened map drawing against packet loss
- You can no longer hover over allies' powers when their HP bars are invisible
