Patch time!!! We have a lot more bug fixes as usual, but most notably we have a lot of enemy reworks. For instance, the Burrowing Bug is no longer untargetable when burrowed and the Queen and her Torch Head Amalgam have some fresh new moves.
Also the Regent is looking SO SNAZZY with his new animations, assets, and card art!! Revel in our special boy's glory ✨
By the way, some things we have planned changes for are Shattered, Byrdonis, and Gravity, so don't worry about those too much for now. In the meantime, let's dig into this!

- Implemented the new Bound card affliction
- Bound will be removed if the afflicted card is in your hand at the end of your turn
GAMEPLAY- Effects that damage enemies at the end of your turn now trigger before your hand is discarded, preventing Inevitability from triggering Gremlin Horn after hand is discarded and leaving a card in your hand for next turn
- The Defect's end-of-turn orb effects now trigger before your hand is discarded
Enemies:
- Burrowing Bug completely reworked
- Burrowed reworked, now gains 30 Block on burrowing, block is not removed at the start of the turn while burrowed
- If all block is removed, the Burrowing Bug will emerge from below
- Moveset changes to be fixed and non random.
- Hunter Killer reworked
- Bite Damage increased from 18 -> 20
- Puncture -> now adds 3 Wounds in addition to damage
- Tenderizing Goop Vulnerable debuff increased from 2 -> 4
- Bravery power removed
- Queen completely reworked
- You're Mine: Applies 5 Weak, Vulnerable, and Frail
- Puppet Strings: Applies Bound to 4 cards in your draw pile
- Revised move order
- Torch Head Amalgam reworked
- New moves
- Tackle: Deals 7x3 damage
- Protected: Gives the Queen 35 block
- Hug: Makes enemy lose 3 Dexterity and Strength this turn
- Orb Plant reworked
- New attacks
- Charge Energy: Gains 5 strength
- Fire Energy: Deals 8 damage
- Revised move order: Charge -> Charge -> Fire
- Chomper now only takes 5 hits instead of 9 to be unclamped and stunned
- It is now disallowed for 2 Tracker Raiders to show up in the same Ruby Raider fight
Cards:
- Ashen Strike rarity changed from Common -> Uncommon
- Quasar changed
- Cost no longer decreases on upgrade
- Voidborn Block gain decreased from 4(5) -> 3(4)
- Added Regent animations
- Added star and character select assets for Regent
- Added various Regent card art
- Added Shadowmeld card art
- Confirm and Back buttons no longer reanimate if they are already at the desired position
- Added card preview screen to deck view
- Hovertips are now cleared when top bar screens are opened
- Hovering over the Defect no longer shows all orb hovertips
- Hovertips are now positioned correctly in card bundle preview screen
- Right clicking card reward shows card preview
- Right clicking Merchant card shows card preview
Enemies & Combat:
- Decemillipede segments now immediately go to Heal intent when they die
- In Mass of Mites combat, first Mite and third Mite now never perform the same move
- Minions and Illusions now die at the end of combat
- Monster attack hover intent now correctly matches buffs/debuffs
- Roaches normal combat no longer gives you a relic reward
- Spiny Toad elite now gives you relic rewards
- The Duo combat end doesn't delay to show rewards & now has a placeholder death animation
Cards & Effects:
- Better Than Ever no longer softlocks if you have no Vigor/Shield
- Electrodynamics now applies power before channeling orbs
- Equilibrium no longer has Retain
- Evil Eye plays cast animation instead of attack animation
- Eviscerate's energy cost now updates properly after discarding a card via Tools of the Trade
- Gambling Chip now allows you to discard 0 cards
- Master Planner power hovertip now displays correctly
- Photon Blade no longer missing hovertip for Gravity
- Second Wind description no longer has -1 times if you play it as the last card in your hand
- Re-added Rampage
- Darkness orb total damage value no longer affected by Focus
- Darkness orbs can no longer attack parts of the Decemillipede that are regenerating
- Well Laid Plans power now lets you select 0 cards to retain & no longer has Retain itself
- Slumber now procs on non-attack damage (ex: Darkness orbs)
- Vulnerable applied to player no longer immediately counts down
- Downgrading a card no longer breaks the Shattered card affliction
- Releasing mouse after unhovering a card no longer selects it again
Relics & Potions:
- Curse of the Bell can no longer be removed by The Trial event or by other sources of card removal
- Ink bottle now displays card played count
- Pen nib now correctly doubles Osty's damage
- Fruit Juice can now be used outside of combat
- Moonshine now updates card star playability
Events:
- Fixed Field of the Forgotten locked choice option
- Event buttons now disappear as soon as you click on them, preventing double-clicking on event options
- Perilous Pedestal event no longer can leave you without a proceed button
Other:
- Fixed crashes when showing locked options on certain events
- Fixed exception when getting random living opponents
- Fixed map scroll breaking between acts + fast mode
- Map marker no longer tries to set the boss as the last visited
- Map screen no longer closes when looking at deck in map room
- Neow transform option is now selectable
- Run history screen can be opened from the main menu again
- Last room, event, and act assets are now unloaded
- Cleaned up wording on Nectar Tea description
